Botox Injections

Botox (botuilnum toxin A) is a protein used to eliminate or reduce facial wrinkles. Botox acts by temporarily reducing the action of the underlying muscles. This results in a reduction in facial movements which consequently reduces the wrinkling. The areas in the face best treated by botox are the horizontal lines in the forehead, the vertical lines between the eyebrows and the lines radiating away from the eyes (crow’s feet). Botox is highly effective for these lines, however it does need to be repeated every 4-6 months.

Fillers

Mr Sabbagh uses fillers to improve the contours of the face. Fillers are a useful technique in reducing the wrinkles around the lip and in enhancing the volume of the lip. The fillers used by Mr Sabbagh are Restylane and Perlane. These are manufactured from hyaluronic acid which is a substance that is naturally present in the body. The fillers are formulated as a clear gel which is injected into the dermis. The filler is gradually degraded by the body, therefore the treatment will need to be repeated after approximately six months. Restylane is usually used for fine wrinkles whilst Perlane, having larger particles, is used for deeper wrinkles.
